The workshop
Studio Seventeen is an independent workshop building software, simulators, and technical learning tools for industrial communications. The work is aimed at technicians, controls engineers, integrators, and commissioning teams who need to understand a system well enough to test it.
## What belongs here
Turn register files and manufacturer documents into integration data that can be inspected and handed off.
Exercise SCADA and HMI behavior before the physical equipment, field network, or complete fleet is available.
Explain protocols from the wire upward, with sources, diagrams, labs, and review checks instead of memorized rules.
## How the work is handled
Projects start with a narrow operating or commissioning problem. Claims stay tied to working evidence: an import, a register response, a repeatable scenario, a reviewed source, or a customer path that has actually been tested.
This site is organized as a public repository so its state is visible. Product files describe the current work, pricing.md records availability without guessed numbers, and shop-log/ keeps dated material changes. Every route also has a plain-markdown twin for readers and agents.
Free material stays free. Planned commercial products use an explicit status, not color alone, and do not receive a purchase link until price, license, refund terms, and the complete customer path are approved.
